If you’re like me, then you’re probably tired of seeing a notification on your Facebook feed (thinking that it’s important) only to find out that it’s some generic, impersonal notification from pages or folks that you follow. With that said, you might want to turn these notifications off, in which case we’re prepared this handy guide for you.

To stop receiving follower notifications on Facebook, you can turn off batch mentions in your tagging settings. Once logged into your Facebook account:

  • Go to Settings & privacy
  • Select Notifications
  • Tap Tags
  • Under Receive Notifications for, toggle Batch mentions off

This should hopefully turn off notification alerts for you whenever a page or user does the “@followers” tag. Alternatively, you can also turn off notifications for specific people or pages by unchecking Get Notifications.
