Amanda Mealing recently returned to Casualty. No, not as her iconic character Connie Beauchamp, but to direct episodes of the medical drama.
The actress left her role as Connie last year to take a well-earned break, but has also ventured further into her career as a director.
Announcing Amanda’s return to the set yesterday, the Casualty Twitter account wrote: ‘The Queen of Casualty is back! Amanda Mealing returned to Holby ED to direct this week’s episode… and what an episode it is!’
The episode in question will primarily focus on Iain (Mike Stevenson), who gets himself into danger once more as his quest to find Elvira reaches a huge turning point.
Away from Casualty, Amanda recently revealed she’s started directing episodes of Waterloo Road.
