‘Rohit Poddar’ Romiit Raaj Confirms Exit From Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: ‘Most Special Work’
Romiit Raj joined Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in July 2024, replacing Shivam Khajuria, who previously played Rohit in the show.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, one of the longest-running TV shows, is gearing up for a major drama in the upcoming episodes. Recently, it was reported that Romiit Raaj, who is currently playing Rohit Poddar in the show, will leave the show as his track has come to a conclusion. While there was no official confirmation on the same, in the latest, Romiit himself verified the news. Romiit joined Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in July 2024, replacing Shivam Khajuria, who previously played Rohit on the show.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Romiit Raaj confirmed that his track in the show has ended and he will not longer play the role of Rohit. He stated, “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is my most special work in my life. This show meant a lot. I look forward to a new beginning. Of course, as my career has just begun." Romiit also expressed his gratitude the producer Rajan Shahi and stated, “I waited for 18 years to work with him."

The actor also thanked his fans for showering love on his character over the months and noted, “I am overwhelmed with the love I am getting from fans for my role, Rohit, in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. My Mother always asked me when I would work with Rajan Sir. I am very happy I got this opportunity; it’s totally her blessings."
Romiit Raaj was seen opposite his Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si co-star Garvita Sadhwani on the show. Garvita plays the character of Ruhi in the daily soap. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is led by Rohit Purohit and Samridhii Shukla. The current track focuses on Armaan and Abhira’s (Played By Rohit and Samridhii) life after a short leap. The duo are having difficulty conceiving and Roohi agrees to be their surrogate. Despite their complex relationship, Abhira believes Roohi can help them.
